A few weeks ago a friend gave me a small piece of lv, 3/8" x 1 1/2" x 5". I didn't pay much attention to it until the other day when I noticed that the line demarking the heartwood and sapwood was precisely down the center of the board and was dead straight. So I cut it down the middle with my bandsaw and glued the 2 halves together. I made the attached just to see how it would turn out. The segments are nothing special and are only used to show the difference between the 2 halves. I didn't turn it into a pen since I didn't think it justified it. Apologies for my poor photography!

The profile pic is from the alien side of the family :). You know me as Graham but I have 2 other first names and thus NGLJ are my initials. Not very enterprising I know.
