Did you have any funny or unusual things happen with your children - we sure did.
We have 4 daughters and all were three season athletes in high school. When our eldest daughter was a senior, the middle a junior and our twins sophmores they all played basketball. Three played varsity all year and one played JV. After the regular season the varsity advanced to sectionals and the coach moved our daughter and another JV to varsity for the sectional games so all 4 were suited up for what turned out to be the final game of the year for them.
The coach, who besides being their coach was (and still is) a long time family friend dating back to when she was in high school, decided as a lark to start all four of our girls.
The introductions went like this.
For Tioga Starting at guard number 10 Peggy Smith
Starting at guard number 13 Linda Smith
Starting at guard number 14 Nancy Smith
Starting at forward number 11 Margo Smith
Starting at forward number 6 Kelly Vallalee
A woman in front of us (who happend to be the daughter of the teacher who had 3 of our girls in kindergarten) remarked to her companion.
"I bet her maiden name was Smith." I almost fell out of the bleachers laughing.
