I am looking for unsual burl blanks without void or near flawless ones.

I am looking for african blackwood burl, cocobolo burl, honduran rosewood burl, black and white ebony burl, mineral stained douglas fir burl, chittam burl etc.

Please PM me your offer and I am willing to pay your price for exceptional pieces.

Charles,

Are those the only blanks species you want or or are open to other hight grade blanks from other species, how many blanks are you looking in total, or approximate...???

I know your work and I know the type of blanks you like to work with, I may have some unusual stuff that I don't list, as they are *Gems* and put a side for my best buyers and some very "fussy" dudes...!

I have some Elm Burl but the only pieces of Yew Burl I have are shorts. I was told there would be no place in heaven for me if I cut it into pen blanks lol.
 
<chuckle> @ Keith... an acquaintance of mine had a load of heavily spalted / ambrosia Maple that I took. Came from a tree about 40" in diameter, so after the sawmill took care of it, I had slabs 8-10" thick and 2'x4' in size. Told everyone I was going to cut it into pen and bottle stopper blanks... you could feel the tension over the net ;-)

I can imagine :biggrin: The guy who said it to me is a very experienced turner and I showed him a small slice I took off the burl just for pen blanks. You should have seen the look on his face.

Charles, Happy New year
I have some gorgeous slabs ( 7/8" + ) of HRB that I sliced up over the weekend. Some of the nicest I've seen. I will cut some into blanks in the next week or so and can send some pics if you want.

Ha...! I knew you wouldn't resist the temptation to sneak a few from my private stash, which is this case are not, they are in the *gems* hidden compartment in my "lolly-shop" that some visitors have "discover" and go straight to when here, damn...! Lucky that I have enough to go around as I only put a few of each in that, now not so "secretive" location, this way, everyone has a go...!:wink::biggrin: Now that I opened my mouth, I'm in troubles...!:redface::smile:

Lets see what I come up for you, my friend, bare with me...!
