I would normally only post this on my engraving forums, but since there are a few penmakers who either make/sell or purchase laser-engraved items, I'll go ahead and add it here...
Delivered in January of 2010, this system has seen very light use in the last two years. I'm moving to a larger system, and I have no need for two systems in the shop. All accessories I've purchased/installed are included and listed below.
Here are the major specs:
* 24" x 18" cutting bed (though it supports larger substrates hanging over the sides)
* Drop-down front door (for larger substrates)
* 2.0" lens
* USB 2.0 interface
* Motorized Z-axis with multiple focus modes, including auto-focus
* Through-lens red laser pointer
* Front-panel LCD display/controls
Accessories/options I'm including:
* Downdraft cutting table (a.k.a., honeycomb vector table)
* Rotary fixture
* Stand, as shown in pic below
* Air Assist optics air shield, including cone for lens
* 1-Touch Laser Photo (assuming the license transfers... never used it)
This has been a great machine with no hardware failures (a driver board was swapped out a year ago for a known EMI issue, not failure). The cartridge was measured last year at 73W true output power, so it burns pretty hot. I'm meticulous in my cleaning routine, so the optics and hardware are all in tip-top shape. No machine-damaging substrates (e.g., PVC) were ever cut in this machine.
This is the perfect machine for the shop owner interested in adding laser engraving/cutting capabilities to their services, or current Chinese laser owners looking to upgrade to the reliability and ease-of-use of a Western-made machine.
$19,500 all in. I'll even throw in some sample substrates (acrylic awards, wood thins, etc.) to the new user and provide some phone support to get them started.
Please feel free to email me with any questions...
