You're looking at last years contest thread. There was no ugly pen contest this year. The 2012 Bash forum is no longer visible.

Imagine my shock when I signed on tonight and saw this thread! I can assure you all I didn't post this here, and I haven't run a secret Ugly Pen Contest! I think it must be a Commie plot, or something. Maybe some evil moderator should activate that link so we can see what kind of twisted affair we held last year! Oh my!

I moved all the old Bash forums to HERE. So you can peruse the old threads.

In some cases, such as the Ugly Pen Contest that you are trying to access, the photos were unfortunately posted using external links which no longer exist. So you see the red "X" or white space where a photo should be.

I prefer photos to be uploaded as attachments for just this reason, but it doesn't always happen that way. In this case it's especially unfortunate because the server that no longer exists is ours! Because of a potential security problem with the Joomla installation (where the contest submission forms were housed) on our content server, I deleted the installation last year a couple months after the Bash. I had no idea that any photo links were pointing back to that server.
