Alright, I know there are some self professed geeks out there and I need your help! LOL!!

In another thread there was discussion on printing and keeping your PM's with good information resident inside. Well, there was a link to an offline PM reader/storage. This program requires XML files for importing.
Here is the thread: http://www.penturners.org/forum/showthread.php?t=69757

This is where my problem lies. I have been downloading my PM's but they are in TXT format with some internal formating. This prevents them from being converted to XML. I need to know if anyone can help explain the best way to convert TXT to XML. Google hasn't really come up with any easy solutions.

Anyone know how to do this?

I'll take a look... If there is enough info in the TXT to identify the places to put the XML I may be able to make a script to convert.

I'm not a geek, but if you download them as an XML initially,
(which is an option) would that work to save the conversion headache?

Johnny,

That definately would have been nice. I didn't download the old ones as XML but only TXT. Hindsight is 20-20 I think applies here......:beat-up:

Hope your feeling better by the way! Glad to see you posting more and more!

Dean,

It looks like there is plenty of formating to make it happen for someone that knows what they are doing.

Let me know how it works. I think you can download PM's on your end in both xml and txt format and see how they are supposed to be formatted...

Thanks!

I've been looking at this (but have been only available for short times with family plans). I can write a converter, but it will not be trivial... Its on my todo list and I will try and get to it in the near future.

Dean,

Do you know of any programs out there that could convert them?
