I buy the stylus tips, not the kits. I take a standard slim kit and put the stylus on the cap end. Then I cut a piece of 7mm tube (I buy them in 10 packs, 10" long), and use the cap and clip from the slim on one end, and a stylus on the other. You can make them any length you want. You get a pen/stylus and a stylus for the cost of two tips, a slim kit and a brass tube.

I find most people want the slim stylus rather than some of the larger pen/stylus kits because they fit into a tablet case better. Mine slides right in next to the tablet.

Thanks for the Idea. Will give it a try, don't think I have any long tubes. I can take two normal length and glue them into a single blank of the length I want.

Sharon,
So if I read correctly you sell the pen without the clip and the clip goes to the standalone stylus?

Yes. I find the clip on the stylus/pen to be uncomfortable to hold when using it as a stylus, so I just put the stylus on the cap end. That leaves the cap and clip to make another stylus.

Sharron where do you get you stylus tips for use on the 7mm pens?

CSUSA AND PSI both carry the tips. I prefer the screw on over the press on because some people get ham-handed and press too hard with the stylus and tear the rubber tip. With the screw on, it is easy to replace. The press on one takes a bit more effort.

You can make a little short stylus with a short tube. I find they are very popular at about 3" in length for use with smartphones/Iphones. The clip allows you to clip it on to the phone case.
