Question though....are these pieces 'stabilized'?

George your HF are beautiful to say the least! I can't imagine how you hollowed them with such a tiny opening... I know, VERY CAREFULLY!!! Again, beautiful turning and thanks so much for sharing! Merry Christmas and safe turning always!

No Scott, if the wood is worked with at the right time the spalting is decorative but hasnt gone too far and caused any excessive soft areas- there is very little (if any) stabilized wood here in the u.k.

Going through a lot of spalted wood here, I can't remember ever 'catching it at the exact right time'....

You have the ability to create some really get pieces!!!
