Call them whatever you want. Stepping aside from pens for a while, I'm making these small turnings for daughters, grand daughters, great grand daughters, and others.
These seem to be fun to make. I have some Walnut, Ambrosia Maple, and River Birch here. I'll get back to pens later.

Quite Nice! Second one is my favorite. First one makes me think a bit of the top of a beer bottle! 😁
Thanks Mike. Beer bottle is what I had in mind when I wanted to try out my new 1/8" beading tool. But the blank was short, and I would have had to remove more material than I wanted to, to make it proportionate to look like an actual beer bottle. So I settled for half a bottle.😊

I made this beer bottle beer bottle opener for my brother from an old cedar post. I'll have to try making one from walnut - I really like the way yours looks.
