Anyone ever watch this show? I think it comes on the history channel or something. I just watched am episode at a friends house that was about my hometown, Oklahoma City. More accurately, it was about the South side, and a gang called S.S.L.

What is really wild to me, is that i grew up in these neighborhoods, and used to see this stuff everyday. I have always known how dangerous the City is, but to see it on a show like that really strikes "close to home" so to speak.

Ron; I've seen it, don't like it as I think it encourages violence.

PS. Gangsters that hide their faces. What is up with that? Don't they want to be recognized?

No, they don't want to be recognized. The school where I work is right in the middle of a gang infested area. I have students from a strong hispanic gang and a large group of crips. From what I've seen, gang members know who their rivals are and don't really want to be known by anybody else. At least that's how they behave here. Last year I served on a jury in a gang-related murder trial. After hearing the expert testimony of the police's gang expert and watching the testimony of admitted gang members, I can't help but believe that gang members are some of the most cowardly, sick, and twisted individuals on the planet.

TV producers now are into everything that will make a buck. Doesn't matter who gets hurt. Pawn shows, Repo man, which is only re-enactments, motorcycle gangs. No wonder people will do anything to get on a tv show. No scruples any more. I was raised in the 60's and got a belt or switch on my a** if I screwed up. Now a days, it will be jail time. Todays society is waaaay different.
