This is my lastest creation made from a old bowling pin i picked up. I was able to get about 20 good 3/4" x 3/4" blanks from it.

It looks a little awkward but is very comfortable and the neck of the pin gives a firm griping area.

That's cool. Now I'd like to see an old bowling ball turned into a bowling pin.

I think you did a fine job on the pen. Good thinking on turning the pin to pens!
:wink::wink::wink:

pretty cool. I tried that to take a bowling pin apart once, and when i did, the maple was ruined almost like a layer of sawdust all around it, like it was starting to rot. very strange. Nice work though !

Very cool indeed.

For those interested, most bowling alleys will give away used bowling pins for the asking. Most are hard maple.

Cheers,
Sam
