So Christy finished making our work bench tonight and I put up the lathe on that sucker to give it my first spin...

Man I will tell you I tried to make that thing snug because as I pinched in that piece of wood I was worried that when I fired her up that piece of pine blank would fly off and impale me right in the chest, LOL!

Good news is I seemed to have survived just fine. Back out there tomorrow for round 2!

And so begins the slow spiral down the vortex. First its a trial spin, next you will have to try and cut something. Then you will need to finish it. You will need/buy more tools. More Blanks! More Kits!MORE MORE MORE! Soon very soon you will sucked to the bottom of that black hole,a never ending cycle of making pens and buying more stuff to make more pens.

Plus you have a lady that made your workbench?? Does she have any sisters??:biggrin:
Haha, that was her project. I helped her but it was "her" work to be sure. She is all about organizing and stuff. That garage we have is quite the project. It's nice that it's turning into some nice. Maybe I'll get my car back in there too ;) .

Break out the Credit Card. You will never have enough tool's for the Lathe.
