I went through my box of olive wood today and started to make this Triton convertible. As I turned the bottom half, I guess I hit a weak spot in the wood and a pretty good size piece the whole length of the blank went flying. Tried to glue it, but it didn't look right. Took another piece and cut it, hoping that I was reading the grain right so that they would match up. Turned out to match pretty well IMHO. What do you think?

C & C welcome.

Thanks for all the kind words, Mal, Charlie and Kay. Very much appreciated!

Thanks for the compliments, Dan, Bob and Wayne. The olive wood is a pleasure to turn. I finish it with pens plus so that you can feel the wood.

Have a great weekend.

Hello, Brian! Thank you for commenting on my other Triton. I just hate it when a blank "blows up" but I'm too cheap to just throw everything away.

Thank you for the compliment!
