Just curious if any members here use TOR when on the web, and if so would you be willing to share your impressions of it?

It hides your IP address when you are searching the net, so it kind of makes you invisible.

A free software implementation of second-generation onion routing, a system enabling its users to communicate anonymously on the Internet.

Some of us...myself included may be lost at TOR John...can you fill it in?

TOR (The Onion Router) provides several layers of encryption on the web, thereby giving you more privacy. For example, instead of directly connecting with www.xyz.com, you are routed, with encryption through several routers. It slows you down, but does give you more privacy. I doubt if it is NSA proof, however. Google it.

I'll be. There actually is a site called xyz.com. Wikipedia.com has a pretty good explanation.
