I bought a damaged tool at a swap meet in Texarkana. Probably paid too much for it (but I like a challenge) so I turned a new handle out of Black Locust and can't wait to give it a spin on the lathe...i have never made a thin-wall hollow vessel but maybe this will help...:laugh:

Beautiful handle, like the shape, looks comfy to hold. The wood has very nice grains which really pop with the great finish. Great job!
