Just got myself a decent jointer finally. Jet 6" helical head jointer.

Been using an old 6" Craftsman for a few years and it is finally nice to have a quality Jointer.

It cuts like a dream and no more fiddling of setting the knives again. As long as I keep the sled clean I can not foresee and problems with this fantastic tool.

It was a little painful to get the 90* and 45* stops setup exactly right, but it is set now. :)
 
Sure is shiny! Like a new penny! Congrats!!! Now cover it with sawdust!:biggrin:
 
Right out of the box the instructions said to rub it down with diesel or kerosene to get the gunk off of it. So after that a nice coat of past wax all over made it super shinny.

Thanks all... I was glad for the upgrade from my Craftsman.
