I could be wrong and it's been a number of years since I was up on my handguns but that appears to be a Ruger Old Army? And if it is an Old Army then it should be 45 caliber? Or more specifically a .457 round ball?

Steve and Bill, it's a Ruger Old Army black powder cap and ball in .45 cal. Loaded, ready to fire. It all is setting on a beaver skin.

That is a good looking pen. Plus, you say they use less catalyst in the resin and they turn better? Might just have to check them out. []
