Yup thats right----this monster is Beech---28 inchs across.
I needed a good size log for a project.
I think this will take care of the ticket.
Now I just got to get it off the darn truck. Then cut it up into blanks.
Anyone want to help???????????

Oh I am sorry------That's the BOSS----aka wife---aka Margie.
I will know real quick if I can unload it by hand or if I need to get a tractor to pull it out. If I can lift one end with a lever---I can get a roller under it----maybe a half hour and it will roll out of the truck bed. It's going to be a bear just cutting it up.

Still think Chuckie had best idea.. lots less pain in the back that way.
Back in the days when computer controllers were the size of 'fridges, we had a driver try that with a computer controller... nearly worked, but the boss just happened along about that time....Mr. Bonino was short one driver immediately.

John ---I bought the log at a sawmill-----they just used a loader.
Getting it off was easy-------I lifted one end with 12ft lever and Margie put about 20--- 3/4 inch pieces of pipe under it for rollers
I sat the log down on the pipe and backed the truck up about 10 foot and hit the breaks.
My driveway has a nice grade to it ---- gravity and the pipe did all the work.

Vey nice score. I learned the hard way that chunks this big (or even smaller) can really mess your back.

Have fun but do take care of yourself.
