It seems that the site times out very quickly. By the time a long dissertation is finished it "times out". How do I extend the time?

Click on the 'remember me', next to the login box and you won't have to worry about it anymore.

You might also want to consider writing your dissertation in Word or some other word processor, then cut and paste it into here. That way you can take all the time in the world to get it done and no need to worry about it going bye bye.

Any site. When I log in, if I don't stay active it closes me out and need to relog back in.

Once I clicked on that box, the system hasn't ever logged me out. Hope it works for you, too.
