Afternoon,
Thuya Burr lined and threaded with an acrylic from Lumber Jim studios, sporting s #6 Bock (F) nib. A very slight step and fine barrel taper.

It's taken a while to find an acrylic to compliment the burr but I think this is it.

Revised my approach to threading, thanks to PatrickR for his observations. Think there's an improvemnt.

As ever, comments and critiques please.

Capped length: 150.1
Uncapped length : 141.84
Barrel diameter: 15.14 - 14.89
Section length: 26.08
Section diameter at pinch: 10.4

Thanks - and it's a fair point. I'll repost with a less cluttered background.
Hi Curly,
Here's some images with a less confusing background.

Absolutely beautiful work. I know very little about kitless work (trying to learn) but I can see that your threading is on point!

I know a bit more about photography than I do pen making and am glad that you chose a different background. Your work is outstanding, the wood is brilliant. You really would prefer a simpler background to not take away from any of that. The concrete is a much better option! Well done!

Thank you for taking the time to look at the pen, the Thuya is indeed outstanding and has a wonderful aroma. I was lucky enough to come across a batch on Etsy and bought 18 blanks - all superb. So look out for more pens in the coming months.

I'n not sure about the background - agree it's better than the bark, but I'm leaning towards a more complimentary colour. Must have a root around the studio and see what I can find. I'd recommend this article - https://www.penturners.org/resource...duction-to-custom-pen-making-august-2020.455/ - as a very good introduction to kitless work. I found it invaluable as a starting point in my learning.
Kind regards,
Chriscb
