Hi fellas, I made a jig for thread wrapping to fit my lathe. Hopefully it will help keep equal tension on all the threads, fingers cant do 4 at a time.
Made from Maple and Chechen with various washers and bolts. Only had to buy the springs. A professional one from CRB is $100.00

Compression springs for tension can be found at any hardware store. I found our local Ace Hardware store to be the best. Here's my setup. Built custom fishing rods for seven years. Wood is from sink cutouts found at a local countertop shop.

Thanks fellas, after looking at it on the screen I realized the springs should've been on the outside. This gives a straighter path to the eyelets below. The nose pivots to help keep the threads straight. Too lazy to make a sliding one.

Not happy of the flat colors of the pre-treated thread for this style. Geeting some new thread soon, hopefully a few untreatd spools.grabbag sale. The jig works wonderfully keeping the thread sorted and straight.
