I'd pass on the lathe. I see them around here for $125 all the time. You can buy a new Rikon for $199.00 right now at Woodcraft or other outlets. That leaves you lots of money to buy pen turning tools, a pen drilling chuck, a good live center, a dead center, polish, CA glue, epoxy, etc.

I guess what I'm saying is I don't think that is a very good deal.

dont do it! what a rip off, thats just like the old piecer that I started on and it was craftsman. And at that, I only paid $35 in a garage sale for it
