Luckily I only gained four pounds. I was in the boat for 8 days. Breakfast was excellent too. The last photo shows a 90# bluefin tuna, not mine but I caught one just like it along with a 60# too. We also caught limits of 18-30# tough yellowtail and school size yellowfin tuna.

Meals included: oso buco, prime rib, rack of lamb, yellowfin tuna poki, yellowtail, sea bass, chicken, beff short ribs, grilled skirt steak, various fresh soups, freshly baked bread and amazing snacks. Diet in progress…

On one of my pickets during my last few months in the navy we were at sea steaming in a 200 mile circle with surface radar and sonar watching for Russian trawlers and checking the squawk on all aircraft flying over head, the chief petty officers had little to do, so they fished off the fan tail.... we caught so many fish that we went back into port with more food in the freezers than we started out with.... I actually had to send a "fish" report to the navy every morning to let them know our catch of the previous day.... when we docked I was given a 42 pound Dauphin that had been caught to share with my family. I was still single, but had an uncle married into an extended family in San Mateo, south of SFran... I gave it to them... we ate fish for most meals after about 2 weeks at sea.

Don't know or remember if we caught any Tuna, but Dauphins are a form of Tuna (I think)... a beautiful fish when it was brought on board, but after it died, the colors were kinda blah.

One of my "fish" reports included an albatross.... she/he hooked onto one of the baits and took a hook through the beak.

Never had opportunity to deep see fish myself... did fish once in the bay at Houston... caught a half dozen croakers
