Ballpoint pens are thinner than the standard rollerball kits we have available.
I have a lot of folks asking for thinner rollerballs -- like Slimline twist pen diameter.

The thinnest rollerball appears to be the Zen pen kit:
- 10.5mm inner diameter;
- 12.7 (= 1/2 inch) finished, outer diameter;

Will I have to start working out a kitless rollerball of a thin diameter?
Or, are there some thinner rollerballs out there?

It just doesn't "figure"

May want to alert your potential customers to the obvious.

What is the diameter of the rollerball refill? 0.251" - Cross brand
What is the diameter of a Cross Ballpoint refill? 0.111"

So, if you make your "new rollerball design" to the size of a Cross ballpoint pen , which is about 3/8" (don't have one here to measure), you are going to be at 0.375". Less the .251 for the refill leaves you 0.12 DIAMETER of material, of course that leaves 0.06 (that's 6/100's of an inch of material, including whatever tube you design.

I've had this conversation. After which, I suggest a Parker gel as a "happy medium".

Now, there is a Cross "gel" that really isn't (it's liquid ink), but that may help satisfy your customer.
