Thin Blue Line... first attempt

Hi all,
This is my first casting attempt at a "Thin Blue Line" pen. Its a symbolic thing for law enforcement, and since most of my real job customers are LEO, I thought I would give it a try. Two step casting process using Sky Blue and Graphite Black Pearl-X.

I tried em that way also. Found I am not consistent enough to get uniform cast. So I just segment mine.

This is my method of trying this.
Using a homemade silicone mold 1"x2"x3"
Fill mold fully with band color (blue here) and let cure.
On band saw, cut width wise a 1/4" strip, sand both sides.
In mold, place strip in center in a lateral way, fits right in.
Mix and pour main color and fill both sides of mold. Everything bonds together. Seams look good under magnification.

I like the idea of this. the double cast is something in my head ive thought about trying once i get up and running with all my casting stuff
