Set up Saturday , got there early . not many there ( a few setting up but wasn't crowded ).Found my spot ,and there was a tent already set up from the night before . I checked and was moved down a couple spots ( OK, no biggie ).Show was to start at 9:00 . A round 9:30 the booth beside me starts setting up , kids games ,ball in fish bowls , knocking over tin cans with bean bags and he was selling blow up toys ( must have been a 10 year old compressor , you couldn't here your self think when it was running...... then the people on the other side of me started setting up , they was about 6 of them doing face painting. Off to a good start , NOT. Well if i am lucky some of the parent will look as the kids play.Across the street to my right as a vendor with a large tent with all types of kids toys , noise makers , clappers , horns . It started going down from there , i was thinking it was a craft show....... guess what pulled in about 11:00 of all things a ICE CREAM TRUCK , playing the same noies all day ( if never here pop goes the weasle again it will be to soon ).So after a day like that , all those kids , all that noies two sales , 1 refill for a slimline and one slimline ( did not make entry fee ) . was to be a wto day event , but after that day I loaded up and hi tailed it out. Did not go back for that fun . what topped it off was at the other end of town,I found out they had crafts , some doing demos pottery , jewerly some wooden crafts
Bad Day , realy bad day.

at least i dont have to work to build back my inventory

I did a flea market with my crafts and my pens a few years ago and the guy across the aisle was selling nuts and such, he said the same catch line 2 times a minute all day both days, I had developed a twitch by the time I left but I did sell so that was all that matters.

"twitch" :biggrin::biggrin: I love it.

One of my favorite fellow vendors sells a puzzle box for seventy five dollars and it is done very well. I can't tell you how many times he tells the story about hiding the keys to a new car in the bottom chamber, leaving it to his daughter to open the box. He, however, has to listen to my chants about how these pens are all "hand crafted and custom made."

The lesson you and I are aware of is that we must be proactive in selling. WE are NOT those types that sit in a chair reading a book, or seen eating something and not paying attention to their potential buyers.
I still love "the twitch.":rotfl:
