D-Day + 25563 as of June 2, 2014.
I have had My Stars and Stripes up since May 25. except on rainy days of course.
My Father - in - law was a Lead Scout to hit one of the beaches of Normandy. His life expectancy was 17 seconds.
When I first met him in 1984 I never knew what he did in the war or know that he actually was apart of the invasion force.
Locating his DD214 has been quite an adventure. None the less if anyone might have a clue as to What a lead Scout was or what possible Infantry unit he may have been in. No pictures seemed to have survived of him in Uniform.
