I love making pens, but sometimes it's just too messy. How on earth can seven Sierra blanks contain 2,000,000 miles of ribbons? Less than seven ounces of a liquid cannot create three cubic feet of shavings, can it?!

My wife stopped into the shop a couple of days ago after I'd turned 5 acrylic Tetra pens for our daughter-in-law. Each one was a different color and I hadn't cleaned up the mess yet. She went to the pile and started picking through it and talking about how pretty it was. I vacuumed it all up before she decided she needed to "do something with it". I think it expands if you leave it on the floor overnight.

Hmmmm.....How many blanks would one need to turn to produce enough ribbons to create a compressed shavings acrylic blank? Sort of like particleboard.
