Wife and I went to see the Avengers this evening. Shows were selling out within minutes and we didn't get the time slot we wanted for a "regular" version but we did get tickets for a 3D version which started 15 minutes later. We were just glad to get tickets but we haven't been to a 3D movie in some time. We were not impressed with the technology in the last one we'd seen so we didn't bother with going to another. And it seemed that only a handful of select scenes were in 3D. Were we ever blown away this evening. Besides being a great movie all on it's own, 3D made it quite impressive. And I beleive every minute of the movie was in 3D. I won't spoil any of the scenes for anyone. Just don't go for popcorn during the movie!!!! Oh, I will say this, yes, Stan Lee makes a"cynical" appearance. Ya just gotta wait for it!!

Enjoy!

Yup, there's one after the 'regular' credits and a second after the full credit run. I believe that the second was actually shot and inserted after it opened in Europe.

Fun, fun movie.

Oh man, I missed the second clip after the credits! CRUD! I saw the first one. Best Superhero movie EVER!!! And one of the best action flix of all time.

You don't talk smack to Hulk.Hahaha.Great movie but I wish they didn't flab up the rage monster. He was in better shape in the last one.

Hey, if anyone wants to PM me with a description of the second post movie clip (following the credits) I would appreciate it!

I must have missed the Stan Lee cameo...dangit!

and we missed the second clip - so if someone would PM me, I'd appreciate it!

Yeah. I remember the last Superman movie. Only a few segments of the movie were in 3D. You saw a little sign on the screen when to put your glasses on. Very disappointing.
For some unknown reason, The Avengers was shown here in Mexico a week before than in the USA  There was a 4DX version also. Have you seen one of those? Besides 3D view, the seats shake, rattle and roll, you get breezes of air and water spray on your face when the scene calls for it. Very impressive and amusing experience.

A lot of that movie was filmed in Cleveland, and I stood in line with a friend of mine for 5 hours in the blazing sun last summer to sign up to be an extra. I did get called, but they wanted me three nights in a row from 4pm to 4am and I just could not swing that with work so I had to pass up my chance at stardom.

A number of scenes were filmed at one of our (NASA) facilities in Sandusky, OH. The "Space Power Facility" is the world's largest vacuum chamber and is sort of a sci-fi looking place anyway so it was perfect. Here's a photo of the vacuum chamber and you may recognize it from a couple movie scenes.

Ever since Apocolypse Now, the wife and I have always set through the credits till the house lights are on. With that I have become a credit reader and noticed a fair amount of work on the movie was done in Ohio, along with new Mexico and of course NYC. At least you can say you were called!!!!!!

My wife and I also went to see it. What fun. I actually regret that we didn't do the 3D experience. I may sneak out to the IMAX. She thought there was a whole lot of "men running with guns" so she probably wouldn't want to go.

My wife and I just got back from watching it. Awesome movie! We were laughing our butts off at some of the scenes. I'm glad they worked all the comedy into it. Also thanks to yall who mentioned the 2nd scene after all the credits. Funny stuff.

The last 3D movie I saw was back in the 80s. I think it was Jaws 3 or something. Real cheesy with the effects.
But the wife and I saw Transformers 3 last summer in 3D and it was freaking sweet.
3D has definitely come a long way.

I can't wait to see the Avengers, but I don't know if we'll get to see it at the theater or if we'll have to add it to our Netflix list.

With the cost of movies these days I'll wait for the DVD.

Trust me, it is SO worth seeing it in theatre with full effects and the huge screen. I saw it 3D at midnight when it opened with a mate of mine. Best movie I've seen in a long time! Totally worth getting up early the next morning too. I want to see it again cause I missed the second clip :(!
