Good evening all (as it's 10.30 pm here)

I've started the 2011 Australia Day Pen Swap on the Aussie Forum (at woodworkforums.com) Here

You are all cordially invited to join in. If you wish to participate, please come on down and sign up. Registration is open till January 25 Midnight Sydney time. Drawing is at 9 AM (again Sydney time) in Australia on the 26th.

You must be a member of the Aussie forum to participate. It's easy to join, I managed to do it.

I know my fellow aussie forumites would love to have some or a lot of our North American cousins join in, so please do

Thanks

Good deal Cousin Nick! I'm looking forward to my Third Australia Day penswap. Thanks for the heads up.

Chuck
Interesting
It's my third as well

If you make a pen for an Auzzie person, do you need to do something to seal the finial so it doesn't leak?

Jeff
it's ok we've worked out a solution
we dip the end of the ink cartridge in wax or ca

Several thousand Americans apparently in Govt jobs share the leaking blame game handling info all with access to this information all published on internal networks.

Here they are called whistle blowers, there concerned citizens.

We penmakers are above all this living in harmony as we do sharing our secrets, our happiness, our sources so yes finials to the ready. Let the swap makers prepare, have your pens and blanks ready to swap in the first week the advance notice should cancel forever any attempt to delay the swaps (too hot, too cold, too busy, waiting for kits etc)

Made some good long term friendships over many swaps over many years, let the excitement begin.Imagine the shock of pleasure when you first communicate and say what is you address, I will send this week how are you etc. On so many occasions I have picked up the phone and said hi I am your swap person.

A challenge to the world make it work for you, it dispels the doom and gloom. Hi neighbor,
cousin, friend to be.

Kind regards Peter.

This will be my second Australia day swap, last year I got an amazing pen from a funky chicken, (Honest) I'm looking forward to this years match up.

If it is a free for all....
I think mine will be a kit!
As in the bits and bobs and a blank along with instructions!!

Got to get going on this one and make something amazing!!!

Andrew

You'll have let some of us know where you'll be
we could point you in the right direction for 'supplies'

HI Nick,
You could say we will be in quite a few places, we arrive in Melbourne beginning of May staying with friends for about 4 weeks. Then we are setting off on a grand tour clockwise around the country.
We are going to be in campervan's so the worlds our oyster as to were we will be staying.

Cheers, Andy.

Jerry
