Chicago: Vote early and vote often.
Did you mean Phila? Vote and get
your sticker. Saw one last election or 2 that
read "I Vomited"
Back on topic. It's refreshing not to allow political discussions here. It only causes grief.
We have family members that hang up on each other. I love everyone until the conversations come up. This is one area I learned to stay silent. I have a dear friend that I'm visiting today. He extends the courtesy of saying "I don't know how you feel about this or that" before he speaks. I know what is coming and I simply listen and gently nod. Same with neighbors… I listen.. acknowledge and done. Not interested even if I agree.
Rather discuss hobbies, music, grilling, projects, etc. Another plus on IAP are the members. Mostly positive replies. Ever been on a car forum? Oh baby?

I think John U should be President! Think of the cool pens blanks that would be out there!

Edit: And R Herrell for VP!
Seriously as Rick said you should VOTE! I was in DC two weeks ago on an Honor Flight for Veterans. I had never been to Arlington before. I am a huge Patroit, but being there and seeing the 190,000 grave markers is humbling. Voting is the least we do to honor these folks.

I think that even if you live in a region where the person you'd like to win has zero chance, you must always go out and vote. "My vote doesn't matter" is the same attitude as saying "I can throw this can out the window, it's only one little piece of trash"...

If nothing else, voting gives you the right to complain about the person who gets elected!

I'd personally like to thank the IAP for making our job easy - we haven't had to intercede in any sideways conversations, venom, or vitriol; our members are a perfect example of how everyone can get along - no matter what side of the political spectrum they may sympathize with....as long as we don't discuss politics! :)

Not trying to spoil this but i have to ask: what happened to alice cooper? I loved his motto: a troubled man for troubled times. Alice for president!!

Off and on subject... be careful what you say in front of someone's house. (I never learn) We went to visit a friend. Knowing him I said I'll bet he has Political Signs on his lawn. And he did. As we are walking to the front door I'm bashing the signs like a champ. Said I'm sorry I did not bring can of spray paint...and I'm laughing and ranting on and on. As I'm ready to ring his RING door bell I realize it recorded everything I said.
Don't I feel small. But we go back... I always enjoyed him and his wife's friendship... There's nothing they can say or do to create any static. The last thing I want to do is have any neg or pos political disagreements/discussions with anyone.
