I wish to thank Mark James for bringing, showing, and explaining the purpose behind the IAP pen collection to our meeting of the Wisconsin Chapter of IAP today in Milwaukee, (New Berlin) WI !! It gave those of us who attended a chance to see and hold some of the most unique pens that the members of this site have made. The experience was by far a 1000 times better than looking at a photo. Mark also added some history about the makers of these fine examples that we would have never otherwise known. Again I wish to thank Mark for his investment of time, money, and commitment to bring this Idea to reality !! If anyone has a chance to see this collection of pens and hold these pens in your hands, I would suggest you jump at it !! Jim S

Hi Jim: It was a pleasure to meet some new folks and and an honor to show off the work of some true artists!!!

That meeting is exactly what I had hoped the IAP Collection could become - a physical display for penturners of all skill levels to be inspired. And as I mentioned, some of the artists represented in the collection are less active - but their work is preserved and will continue to be a source of appreciation to others.

The Wisconsin Chapter were great hosts to the first Chapter Display/Contest.

And now, we have pen #37! (I'll take pictures soon) .
