I checked my email today before I went to work, and got an email from a couple of woodworking forums I belong to, and they were both wishing me a happy birthday. I said what the heck? It's not my... wait... Oooohhh, it IS! So I spent a little while today pondering how many birthdays does one have to have to begin forgetting them? In my case... It's 34... But hey, my new jointer comes tomorrow!!

Happy Birthday Dave, looking good! .........I haven't even hit 34 yet.....oh wait...I have to, it was &^$%-@#*^% years ago, I think....maybe kinda sorta[:D][^][:0][:p][:o)]

Hey, only 13 sense I was 34. Makes me feel like a pup. Owwww, sorry I tried to jump up and I think I pulled something. Or like they say "I think I got a hitch in my
get-a-long".

Happy Birthday Dave!!! I'm only a couple of years ahead of you, unlike most of these guys! Wow, I knew the "regulars" were old, but not THAT old! [:D]

Interesting to see some of the age diversity in this forum! Perhaps instead of a "what do you look like" thread, we should have a "how old are you" thread?

thanks for all the "Happy B-days!"

My wife finally hits the big 3-0 this July. Can't wait...

<br />Okay, I'm pretty sure I'm used to being 34, it feels oddly enough just like being 33. On the brighter side of things... My jointer is here!!

I'm feeling much better, I stay mostly in one piece without the aid of a "jointer". (Does that make Mary Jane ciggys??? OR stretch your joints when you get out of bed???)

Forgot to say, "Happy Birthday, and may you enjoy MANY more!!"

Thanks! I just got it set up, with Doghouse's help (it's HEAVY!), and after much primping and preening, I ran a test board. 6 ft long white oak that would have taken at LEAST 10 passes on my old jointer, I got it flat in ONE pass!!!!! Never even bogged down a little!
It makes alot of sawdust, I'll have to get my DC hooked up to it soon... I took pictures of the assembly process, I'll post when I have time!!

A wood turner leaves the wood store at 34 years old, installs a roof, a jointer, and his wife has a birthday. HOW OLD IS THE WOOD TURNER???

I love word problems....LOL....

I'm with Ed here....are jointers really legal?

I have a nice little joiner myself, but with all my cop friends I had to stay away from the jointer.[:o)]
