AKA mescal bean. I would like to buy 20 or so blanks. I have a customer that would like 10 or 20 Jr Gents made from Texas Mountain Laurel if I can get the blanks.
Can anyone help out?

What is Texas Mountain Laurel?

Here 'ya go, Ethan

Texas Mountain Laurel

It has a purple flower, similar to wisteria and produces a bean pod fruit.

I plan to take a look next time I'm at the farm, but I don't think we have any.

Here is a Jr Gent II BP pen and pencil set I made a while back out of Tx Mountain Laurel. The wood is an orangeish yellow with fantastic grain (the picture doesn't reproduce the true color very well).

Sweeet!
Now I'm really going to look for some.

Were those made from trunk, limb or root?

I've never seen one growing, but it is my understanding (and I may be wrong about this) that it doesn't really have a trunk, but multiple branches growing from the roots, and the roots are not very big.
