Curtis hasn't been making custom blanks lately, but I know he wants to get back into that, so send him a message or give him a call as Gordon suggested.

Bluebonnets are more plentiful in Texas this year than they have been the last few years, but it's going to take a few years for them to really flourish in blanket form after the severe drought we've had the last few years. I don't know if they are plentiful enough in Curtis' area to make the harvesting effort worthwhile this year or not. It takes about 5 gallons of bluebonnet tops to make just 1/2 gallon of dried bonnets for casting.

Here's an idea of what we are up against. The first photo is how they look on our place this year - the second photo is what they look like in a good year.
