Nope.....that's made from an edger blade! Still an interesting video on making your own parting tool.

Here is one I made out of a Jigsaw blade. Removed all the teeth with a grinder and glued the blade into a handle. Basically is a thin parting tool.

Made one like Alzey using a worn out planer blade from my Delta 13" planer. Grind off the sharp edges 1 blade gives you enough for 2 parting tools.
