I started spraying a finish on these this past Monday. Got only the bottoms of five sprayed one coat before a heart attack required an air lift to a distant city hospital to have a stent put in the blockage. Hate it when things like that get in my way of production . . .lol . . .
Doctor said nothing heavier than five pounds for a couple days . I figured a one pound sprayer would be safe so went ahead and put several coats on both inside and outside of them .

I don't think I've ever met someone that has been peeved because a heart attack got in the way of production before!!
Wow, William, take it easy for a bit and listen to the docs!!

Love seeing all your great bowls though.

Nice bowls, same club got two stents on Tuesday...

William,

Congratulations.

Glad we're both home. Didn't experience a heart attack, some moderate pain when I pushed it walking.

Had two stents put in Tuesday, first was inside one of the 3 I received in April. All 3 were in same LAD artery (widowmaker). The first one had partly collapsed. Doc opened that up nicely, then added one more in the Ramus to be sure the Angina is well managed.

After Church, I took a nice several hour ride up in the mountains by self, phone off, nice relaxing CD on, then came home and grabbed my bag and went to the pool. Indoor, and Cardiologist approved. Nothing strenuous, but it felt really good. I go 5-6 days a week. I plan on being back in the pool starting after tomorrows Dr. visit. May do the Cardiac rehab thing being that insurance will pay for it.

Best of luck. Keep up the great work,

Charlie

Very nice bowls. I am just starting to try my hand at bowl turning. I like the segmented design. Hope your feeling better soon.

Geezzzz mate, one minute you were varnishing some of your great bowls, the next thing, you were in a helicopter getting all the emergency care to keep you alive and your "ticker" going....! hell, it doesn't take much to die, huh...???

I just imagine what your wife went through when it all happened so, I'm glad you made it back home, and to your bowls, I man should never die with unfinished business, huh...???:biggrin:

Take it easy, you may not be so lucky the next time...!

Take care,
Cheers
George

At least the bowls got finished, wouldn't want a heart attack and an emergency heli ride getting in the way!!

Good to see your on the mend. Now take it easy, well easier as it's obvious you want to get straight back to the wood!!

Thanks for all the kind responses and yes, I am recovering well . Breathing easier than I have in years thanks to the heart repair and the meds that I will probably always be on now.

Thanks for the kind words from all .

Visited my doctor today and got the green light to carry on almost as before .

Amazing what they can do nowadays without having to open a person up except when absoloutly necessary because the cardiologist did ponder about open heart surgery and bypass or angioplasty and stent and decided to go for stent at this time.

Lovely bowls, sorry that your Heart condition got in your way.

William, I admire your determination to get done what you wanted to get done.

But don't for a moment think your are Invincible.
The Church yard is full of people who thought they were Invincible.

Take notice of your Medics, and listen to your body.

Think of all the Bowls yet to be Turned.
Keep well,
Brian
