My daughter in Hawai'i uses them quite often. If you don't care about absolutely the best, they are not a bad deal. Free shipping on most items. I ordered from them once to test them out. I picked up some incredibly cheap magnets, a small combo wrench set and a small rafter square with a wrap-around feature. The magents are just fine, the sqare is fully functional but the wrench is iffy. Shipping was quick (about one week). YMMV.

John, my wife has placed about six orders through them each time ordering multiple items. She has always received exactly what she ordered without any problems. She has never ordered anything expensive (nothing over $10) or electronics. Yes, some prices are ridiculously low but that really is the price. Packages have always arrived on time. In the past she ordered through Aliexpress but now uses Temu. She is very satisfied.

There are multiple reports confirming that you often just get what you paid for, ie the quality matches the low price, there are also multiple reports that the advertised goods look to be of a higher quality that what was expected or what was delivered was nothing like that advertised and was often just a random selection of junk.

Just another Chinese drop shipper using mass advertising and paying media influencers to boost their sales, but are more like Wish than Aliexpress or Banggood.

Remember Wish, so named because after you buy from them you will Wish you hadn't.

John; If it requires an app, I don't do it. APPS are mostly public spyware.
I do not do apps either and I really did not read much into it. But seems a thing that is gaining traction and saw the prices and could not believe them. Thus the ask.

John

I haven't done business with TEMU, but I did try ordering stuff from another Amazon-wannabe in China, Aliexpress.

I ordered some drill bits and other incidental tools. The description sounded good, and the pictures were nice, but the tools they shipped were junk.

If it sounds too good to be true - - -

I have used Aliexpress a few times and was not disappointed.

I did some online research when I started getting bombarded with ads ... Not someone I'll do business with. And they're still spending millions flooding the net with ads--90% of the ads Google serves. I've taken to reporting every single one as "seen too often," "not interested," and in some cases "inappropriate." Google's algorithms still haven't gotten the clue.

Out of curiosity, I looked up TEMU - you can't even get into their website without creating an account. That's a deal breaker for me. I would like to browse and see what they have to offer, and if it was appealing, then I would create an account,

There are also numerous articles about dissatisfied customers, so I decided not to go any further.

You don't need an account to browse their website. I don't have an account and browse them on my iPad. It will have a pop up discount and if you want to use it you need to have an account. I just close that and browse. I do not use their app.

Yea but that was what prompted this question in the first place. I browsed their site and the prices are just ridiculous low. If the quality is there.

John, as I said before my wife has placed multiple orders and is happy. She is only buying low price items. She has bought some of those extremely low priced items and got exactly what she expected. She has ordered 6 times with each order being more than 10 different items. Quality will be same as AliExpress. in the past she used AliExpress. She prefers Temu now because all items come in one package instead of multiple packages from AliExpress. Shipping is also faster with Temu. They once gave her a $5 credit because her package was delayed. It actually still arrived on time.

she has only ever bought me one thing, multiple pairs of socks that have the grippy things on the bottom so you don't slip on tile or wood floors. They were dirt cheap. They were much better quality than I expected.
