To all members of the IAP!

I have been a member here for a while.
Turning has been interrupted work these past few months, so i have not posted a whole lot.
I do however visit the site numerous times a day to see what is happening.

I happened to glance at the most users online number - 274
Then i had a look at the Member List - 9640!!
WOW!!!

Why not see how many members we can get on at one time?

We would have to set a date and time to try and suit everyone, or just stay logged in.

I have been on other sites that have done this and it was quite fun to watch the numbers grow!

Anyone else have any input on this idea??
Just a thought but it could be a lot of fun!

Keeping or creating records.

I do remember clearly in my organisation I am really deeply involved in I was the nominated Clerk at one meeting the request came count who is present I did this once, count again then at the fourth request I had to remark the best I will ever do is count the pregnant mothers as two present.

Enjoying the site for me is never a numbers thing what if the site was overloaded creating an emergency for someone or the owners of the site.

Organised chaos, creative accounting. Look to be a forum friend help someone.

Count on everyone to vote with their log or feet.

But have fun?

Peter.

the only possible problem I see is how Jeff pays for this thing. If he has to pay per eye, then this could run up the cost a bunch. How about that Jeff? Would this cause you a problem? If not, tell me when / where. Just my $0.02.

We did this a couple years ago, in conjunction with the beginning of the "Birthday bash" in Feb.

Jeff was ok with it, then.

Just historical perspective---sounds like a great idea!!

Never thought about the costs involved...
If it is too much then it is not worth it.

And it is not just about numbers.
Maybe some members will get in contact with others that have not been around for a while and they may get involved in the community again.
Just seemed a bit strange to have such a huge member base and only have about 10% that post.

Maybe it is something we could keep for the annual IAP bash/Birthday?
