TBD - which lathe center?

I ordered some TBC bushings this week. I think I saw something on a youtube video about using a "dead center" with them. Will this one from Grizzly work?

assuming that your lathe has a #2 MT it will work just fine.

You need a dead center in the headstock, and a live center in the tailstock.

Rink; You will need a 60 degree live center in the tail stock. The normal pointed tail stock center that came with your lathe will likely not work as it is more pointed than 60 degrees.

Check the Grizzly site for "live center" and make sure it has a 60 degree included angle. Note that metal lathes turn more slowly (2000 RPM max)than wood lathes so the center may not be as robust.
