Where the heck do I find m8.5 X 1 tap and die and 6.5 X .5 and 12 X .75 ??? I hgv e been to: Victors, Greenwald, Smitty;s. Timiberbitts, Amazon, Exotic, :confused::confused::confused:

Down the page is the die as well. This is the single thread tap and die not the triple.


Indy may still have some of the 6.5 x.5. Classic nib will only have the taps For Bock and he did have the 9 x.75 set


yes, but that is the plug tap, not the taper. found all except the taper.

I have not ran across a taper tap although Im sure they are out there. I have been able to make do with plug and bottom taps.
 
I ordered a lot of mine from victor. they are good quality and cut well. with a tap follower, a plug tap will work just fine getting straight threads started. on hard materials it can be harder on the tap, but with most of the stuff we do for penmaking, the plug tap works just fine.

I didn't see a need for the 8.5x1 die, so I bought the tap only from silverpenparts
If I recall correctly, I got the 6.5x.5 from the classic nib
