Taking a day off

My wife and I get to go to Annapolis today because our daughter is being honored for being the principal of one of Marylands better high schools and she invited us to the awards dinner. We reluctantly put our puppies in the wonderful local kennel - the best we've ever dealt with and the only one where we would leave out dogs - and we will be staying over night. Since we are tied to our dogs like parents are tied to their kids (trust me on this - we have 6 kids) this is like a vacation for us.

Being a principal in schools today is a huge challenge.... Safety, accountability ratings and guiding young minds. You must be so very proud of her! Enjoy the time with her and please thank her from me for making a difference with children each day.

Hi, the high school where my daughter is principal, got chosen as a Maryland Blue Ribbon school....those of you who live in MD probably know this is a big deal in MD.

I am proud of her .... I'm proud of all my children.... they have all done better in life than I could have asked for.
