I have a bad habit of putting together a tablesaw sled for pen blank cutting, using it for a few weeks, and then sawing it in half.

This one, was put together with a higher fence and a brace on top. The new feature I added to this one is a (re)movable stop and a removable 45 degree jig.

The sled without the jig.

With the 45 degree jig

The jig, by itself

And finally, the backside of the sled

Now, will this one last until summer?

Thanks for looking

I like your design, I'll probably make one myself. As an added safety feature, I would add a hunk of 2 x 4, tall edge up, about 3-4" long, to the back of the sled to cover the slot where the saw blade exits. If you use a stop to limit the forward progress of the sled, the blade will never be exposed. Thanks for posting.

BTW - what's the purpose of the piece with the four holes, that sits on top of the fence?
