Sycamore Vase

Spalted--wormy--attacked by several Woodpeckers and almost rotten.
This Vase stands about 12 inchs tall---wood is Sycamore
I have been turning some big items this week.

Great piece of wood. Might I suggest a smaller diameter base would have given tis work a more pleasing shape?

That's real nice Gary. With all the "defects" in the wood it must have been nerve racking to turn. Bet you get a nice price for it at one of your shows though.

John--- Sycamore is my #1 wood to turn but there really ain't enough going on for pen blanks. They would feel great and take a nice finish.
