Ahh yes the joys of taking turns----my wife has her own shop and it was her turn to get the new Tool--Grizzly GO 555 -- 14
inch bandsaw with 6 inch riser block.
This year when you buy items think of the folks who donate to this site. Take a minute and tell them thanks----most of the time you can just add a little note to your order.

You won't regret that purchase. I love mine. The dust collection port actually works as well. I have a 4" hose going to the saws port, and 2" hose positioned where the blade exits the upper wheel housing. I have very little saw dust around my saw and then only the bigger pieces that are easy to clean up. I can take the 2" hose and vacume up any bits when I am done working.

Frank the wife makes everything from toys to Christmas tree ornaments. She had a very good year and has very little inventory at this time. Oh and wooden bells---(inside funny)
I am going to get a price on these saw blades today. I buy from a company in KC that has always been real good to me.

Congrats to your wife on her bandsaw. I wish I could get my wife interested in turning or woodworking, but not yet. She does help me out a lot, and spends time sanding some of my rustic items, she also paints and distresses some of my arts-crafty items, makes alot of different what-nots out of discarded items, like angels out of magnolia seed pods, angels out of dried okra pods, santas out of crab shells (after we have eaten the crabs), seh decopages plates and platters, sews, quilts, crochets, takes care of the house and our business, and most of all PUTS UP WITH ME!! So I am pretty lucky after all. There is a chance I may be in Lexington KY for 3-5 days later this spring. WIll give you an e-mail on when.

Rob just having a wife that enjoys handmade/crafted items is all that counts. Most guys go to thier shops to hide from the wife. I have to watch that mine isn't stealing wood from me. I was very lucky today---after lunch she let me service her air compressor---oil change and cleaned the filters---she's to good to me.[:)]
Oh if you get up this way-----stop in---we have two shops and a showroom---it ain't fancy but it's a living.

Gary,
<s>You're</s>,<b>She's</b> gonna love that saw. I use mine all the time. Get some good TimberWolf blades.

Daniel,
I am intersted in your set up with the 2" hose near the top wheel. Can you post a pic?

Thanks!!
