Have you tried cleaning the switch out? There's a good chance that if you disassemble the switch, blow out any debris, and put it back together, that it will start working again. I've ressurected the switches on my lathe and disc sander several times.

Regards,
Eric

My switch died on my disc sander. I just went to Ace and picked up a toggle switch, drilled a new hole, and swapped it out. As long as you don't need the lockout it won't make any difference.

Same here. Take the switch apart, and bend the copper strips a little, clean any corrosion off to make better contact. Reassemble.

:wink: If you are going to the trouble of opening up the switch to clean it out. Go to your big box store (Home Depot) and in the electrical Department they will have "contact Cleaner" in a spray can. It is not a good idea to sand or file the contacts in the switch without cleaning or blowing it out. The fine metal dust can cause the swith to short out or track as they call it. They also have a large selection of toggle switchs to replace the one you have. Jim S
