So, Been thinking of doing some more laminations, but have been having trouble figuring out how to cut some small, thin, accurately sized slivers of wood to use for it. The band saw didn't leave it smooth enough, and the table saw was just too, well, not safe to do the small slivers.

I saw something about a vacuum fence some where, so thought I would try to make something. Tried a H-F Venturi Vacuum generator, not enough volume. So Then I whipped this up and powered it using the shop vacuum. Works great! I still have to use a hold down for the waste portion of the cut (in this case, the left side of the blade), but the SuckCut keeps the good part nice and tight to the adjustable fence.

All of this is mounted on my multifiunction sled.

Its a pretty simple box sitting on a piece of ply wood with a 45degree angle cut to allow the vacuum to pull the lower right corner of the piece into the fence to keep it from bouncing around and getting ejected by the blade....
