Such a deep black!

I could not believe just how deep the black came out on this Churchill with Ceylon Ebony. There is 10 coats of thin CA followed by 10 coats of medium CA.

Wow, that may be one of the best looking Churchill's I have seen. When you do it all in black, it doesn't look like a kit. The shape is also very pleasing with the curves of the hardware. Great looking pen!

I'm usually a bit cold to pens with exaggerated curves but that looks fantastic. Love the combination of gold and black, great choice.

Twenty coats of CA?? You are a very, very patient person. But the time and effort shows nicely - it's a beautiful pen with a stunning finish.

You could either use black acrylics, same result less work

Personally I don't use CA finish on black ebony, as it looks really like plastics, jet black. I like matte black look ebony gets from oil finish, with no polishing on it.

Neverthless, the pen looks great in this combination. I would be afraid to use such a curves, but in this pen they are just in place.
