This offer to trade kits for services is only for good, confident turners who don't mind measuring for themselves, turning without bushings and able to work from instructions written specifically for a particular lathe that they probably don't have. I got a bunch of kits when I bought out a batch to get slimlines for Pens for Troops - This is strictly a private offer with NO connection to my store, I have not sold and never will sell these kits in my store (I don't think they are available anywhere now but can't swear to that.
1. The instructions are specific to a Woodwrite lathe using specific accessories. If you have them you are probably already familiar with the kits.
2. There are no bushings so you either have to make your own or TBC without them
3. There is no preassembly done on the kits the assembly instructions appear to be complete.
4. There are a lot of parts to each kit.
5. This wants folks who can do quite a bit of "figgerin that out" for themselves not people who need detailed instructions for every step of the way.
6. There are a couple of different sets available.
7. Please do not respond and tell me you've only been doing pens for 3 weeks I want this trade to go to guys who know their way around a lathe.
I will give you 5 kits, you make one pen or pencil for me and keep the other 4 kits to do with as you please. I pay the postage your way and you pay it when you send the completed pen back to me. I want a good job because the finished pen is for my collection.
Send me a PM if you are interested.
