Stupid idiot

I just had to share this here cause my Facebook friends just wouldn't know what I was talking about and who better to laugh at me then a bunch of people I don't know.

I was in my workshop Saturday afternoon working on a project that is in no way pen related. I was in the process of building a simple jig for some cuts I needed to make. So as I usually do I whip out some ca glue to glue a few strips of wood to the jig. As my time is precious I grab my can of activator/kicker and spray away. My glue won't set. I add more glue and spray some more. Still no luck. I choose my curse words wisely as there is a nine years old watching his mentor skillfully build a jig. I get fed up and grab my brad nailer and make quick work of that jig and get the job done. This morning I go out to the shop to check on a different glue up and what do I see sitting on my bench. A can of krylon clear coat gloss spray. NOT a can of kicker. Where is the kicker. Waaaay over the other side of the shop above my lathe where I keep my pen supplies. The clear coat was from a project I did last week.

Moral of the story. Pay attention.

Finally, a sure fire way to delay the CA cure thus giving the gluer time to assemble the parts of the gluee, Thanks for the innovative approach and the willingness to share it with the world.
